Abhishek Verma creates history by
winning silver medal in Archery World Cup Final
- Ace Indian archer Abhishek Verma created history by winning Silver medal in the 2015 Archery World Cup Final in the men’s individual compound section. It was India's first ever Archery World Cup Final medal in the compound section.
- In the summit clash which is bein g played at Mexico City, Abhishek was defeated by Turkey’s Demir Elmaagcli by a score of 145-143. Demir Elmaagcli bagged Gold in the 2015 Archery World Cup Final. Earlier Abhishek defeated Mario Cardoso of Mexico by 150-142 score to enter in the Archery World Cup Final.
- At the 2014 Asian Games at Incheon, he won the gold medal in the men's compound archery team event along with Rajat Chauhan and Sandeep Kumar, and the silver medal in the men's individual compound event.
- On 15th August, 2015, he won a gold medal in the compound men's individual section at the Archery World Cup Stage 3 in Wroclaw, Poland.
