Railway minister Suresh Prabhu flagged off the first Goa to Mumbai double-decker Shatabdi train through video conference. The train will run thrice a week between Margao and the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in Mumbai.

It is a AC Double Decker Express with train no 11085. The double decker train will cover the distance in around 12 hours. It has eight compartments with a seating capacity of 120 in each compartment. The train will play important role in boosting tourism in Goa by bringing the tourists over to the coastal state during the peak tourist season.

Train schedule :-

The train will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) every Monday,Wednesday and Friday at 5:30 am and will reach Margao at about 5.30 am on the same
