Padma Awards 2025 - Complete List

Padma Awards - one of the highest civilian Awards of the country, are conferred in three categories, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. The Awards are given in various disciplines / fields of activities, viz.- art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports, civil service, etc. ‘Padma Vibhushan’ is awarded for exceptional and distinguished service; ‘Padma Bhushan’ for distinguished service of high order and ‘Padma Shri’ for distinguished service in any field. The awards are announced on the occasion of Republic Day every year.

These Awards are conferred by the President of India at ceremonial functions which are held at Rashtrapati Bhawan usually around March / April every year. For the year 2025, the President has approved conferment of 139 Padma Awards including 1 duo case (in a duo case, the Award is counted as one) as per list below. The list comprises 7 Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan and 113 Padma Shri Awards. 23 of the awardees are women and the list also includes 10 persons from the category of Foreigners / NRI / PIO / OCI and 13 Posthumous awardees.

ವಿಶ್ವ ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ ಶಿಪ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಪದಕ


 🥈ವಿಶ್ವ ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್‌ಶಿಪ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಜ್ ಚೋಪ್ರಾ ಜಾವೆಲಿನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ "ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಪದಕ" ಪಡೆದರು


 💐ಒರೆಗಾನ್‌ನ ಯುಜೀನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ವಿಶ್ವ ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್‌ಶಿಪ್‌ನ ಜಾವೆಲಿನ್ ಥ್ರೋ ಫೈನಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ ನೀರಜ್ ಚೋಪ್ರಾ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಪದಕವನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.


💐 ನೀರಜ್ ಎರಡನೆ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಗಳಿಸಲು 88.13 ಮೀಟರ್‌ಗಳ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಎಸೆತವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು.


💐 🥇ಗ್ರೆನಡಾದ ಆ್ಯಂಡರ್ಸನ್ ಪೀಟರ್ಸ್ 90.54 ಮೀಟರ್ ಎಸೆದು ಚಿನ್ನ ಗೆದ್ದರು. 


💐🥉ಜಾಕುಬ್ ವಡ್ಲೆಜ್ 88.09 ಮೀಟರ್ ಎಸೆದು ಕಂಚಿನ ಪದಕ ಪಡೆದರು.


 ಈ ಗೆಲುವಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನೀರಜ್ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವರು ವಿಶ್ವ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್‌ಶಿಪ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪದಕ ಗೆದ್ದ ಎರಡನೇ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮೊದಲ ಪುರುಷ ಟ್ರ್ಯಾಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಫೀಲ್ಡ್ ಅಥ್ಲೀಟ್ ಆದರು.


💐 19 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ, ಲೆಜೆಂಡರಿ ಲಾಂಗ್ ಜಂಪರ್ ಅಂಜು ಬಾಬಿ ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಪದಕ ಗೆದ್ದ ಮೊದಲ ಭಾರತೀಯರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. 2003 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ವಿಶ್ವ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್‌ಶಿಪ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕಂಚಿನ ಪದಕವನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದರು.

List of Jnanapith Award Winners


    The Literary award Jnanpith or Gyanpith is one of the highest literary honour in India. Some call it Gyanpeeth award also.  The award is meant to recognize, nurture and promote the excellence in writing in all recognized Indian languages. It is awarded only to Indian nationals.

    The Jnanpith award is awarded every year for best creative writing to an Indian citizen in any of the 22 languages that are included in Schedule VIII of the Indian Constitution. English has also been included for consideration of the award from 49th award onwards.

    This Award is sponsored by the Bharatiya Jnanpith Trust, which is a literary and cultural organisation that was set up in 1944, by the late Sahu Shanti Prasad Jain and his wife Rama Jain. The Jain family are the publishers of The Times of India newspaper. This award is considered to be the most prestigious literary award of the country.

    The Jnanpith Award : It carries a cash price of Rs 11 lakhs, a citation plank and a bronze replica of goddess Saraswati ‘Vagdevi’.

    Jnanapeetha
    Prior to 1982, the Jnanpith Award were given for a single work of Author, but after that, the Jnanpith Award is being given for the lifetime contribution of the writer to the Indian literature. The Jnanpeeth Award has become a symbol of the comprehensive vision of Indian literature along with national integrity.

    Firsts in Jnanpith Awards:

  1. First Jnanpith: The first award for Jnanpith was given in 1965 to G. Sankara Kurup for Malayali Literature.

  2. First Lady to win Gyanpith Award: The first women to receive this prestigious award was the Bengali writer Ashapoorna Devi who was awarded in 1976.

  3. First Jnanpith in English: Amitav Ghosh became the first English writer to win Jnanpith Award in 2018.

LIST OF DADASAHEB PHALKE AWARD WINNERS

The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is an annual award given by the Indian government for lifetime contribution to Indian cinema. The Award was instituted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in 1969, the birth centenary year of Dadasaheb Phalke, considered the father of Indian cinema. The award is being given to veterans in the film field such as Actors, Actresses, Producers, Directors, Music Directors and other Technical experts.

DADASAHEB PHALKE AWARD
The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is India's highest award in cinema. It is presented annually at the National Film Awards ceremony by the Directorate of Film Festivals, an organisation set up by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Academy Awards (Oscars) ಆಸ್ಕರ್ ಅವಾರ್ಡ್ಸ್ 2018

ಲಾಸ್ ಏಂಜಲಿಸ್: ಗಿಲ್ಲೆರ್ವೊ ಡೆಲ್ ಟೋರೊ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ `ದ ಶೇಪ್ ಆಫ್ ವಾಟರ್’ ಚಿತ್ರ 2018 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಆಸ್ಕರ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಈ ಚಿತ್ರವೂ 13 ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಾಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಚಿತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಗಿಲ್ಲೆರ್ವೊ ಡೆಲ್ ಟೋರೊಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದೆ.


ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ನಟಿಯಾಗಿ `ಥ್ರೀ ಬಿಲ್‍ಬೋರ್ಡ್ಸ್ ಔಟ್‍ಸೈಡ್ ಎಬ್ಬಿಂಗ್’ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಟಿ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಮೆಕ್ಡೋರ್ಮಂಡ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಲಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ನಟನಾಗಿ `ಡಾರ್ಕೆಸ್ಟ್ ಅವರ್’  ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಭೂಮಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಗ್ಯಾರಿ ಓಲ್ಡ್ ಮ್ಯಾನ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಲಭಿಸಿದೆ.

ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಪೋಷಕ ನಟ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಮೂರು ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಓಟ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ `ಥ್ರೀ ಬಿಲ್‍ಬೋರ್ಡ್ಸ್ ಓಟ್‍ಸೈಡ್ ಎಬ್ಬಿಂಗ್ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ, `ಮಿಸ್ಸೌರಿ’ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಟ ಸ್ಯಾಮ್ ರೋಕ್‍ವೆಲ್, `ದ ಫ್ಲೋರಿಡಾ ಪ್ರೋಜೆಕ್ಟ್ಸ್’ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಲ್ಲೆಮ್ ಡಾಫೂ ಮತ್ತು `ಆಲ್ ದ ಮನಿ ಇನ್ ದ ವರ್ಲ್ದ್’ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಟ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಟೊಫರ್ ಪ್ಲಂಮ್ಮರ್ ನಡುವೆ `ಮಿಸ್ಸೌರಿ’ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಟ ಸ್ಯಾಮ್ ರೋಕ್‍ವೆಲ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಇವರ ಜೊತೆ ಅದೇ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಟ ವುಡ್ಡಿ ಹಾರೆಲ್‍ ಸನ್ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಲಭಿಸಿದೆ.

ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಟೊಫರ್ ನೋಲಾನ್ ಅವರ `ಡಂಕಿರ್ಕ್’ ಚಿತ್ರವೂ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸೌಂಡ್ ಮತ್ತು ಫಿಲ್ಮ್ ಎಡಿಟಿಂಗ್ ಗೆ ಮೂರು ಆಸ್ಕರ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. `ಡಾರ್ಕೆಸ್ಟ್ ಅವರ್’ ಚಿತ್ರ ತಂಡವೂ ಗ್ಯಾರಿ ಓಲ್ಡ್ ಮ್ಯಾನ್ ಅವರನ್ನ ವಿನ್ಸೆಂಟ್ ಚರ್ಚಿಲ್ ಆಗಿ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಾಂತರ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಮೇಕಪ್‍ಗೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಈ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗ್ಯಾರಿ ಓಲ್ಡ್ ಮ್ಯಾನ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸತತ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಮೇಕಪ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.

`ಕಾಲ್ ಮಿ ಬೈ ಯುವರ್ ನೇಮ್’, `ಫ್ಯಾಂಟಮ್ ತ್ರೆಡ್’ ಮತ್ತು `ಗೆಟ್ ಔಟ್’ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಆಫ್ರಿಕ್-ಅಮೇರಿಕನ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬರಹಗಾರ ಜೊರ್ಡ್‍ನ್ ಪೀಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಮೂಲ ಚಿತ್ರಕಥೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

The 90th Academy Awards commonly referred to as Oscars was held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California (US). The award presented in 24 categories by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), honouring best films of year 2017.

The Shape of Water won the most number of awards totaling to four at the ceremony after it was nominated into highest 13 categories. It was followed by Dunkirk, nominated for eight categories and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, nominated for seven categories.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಗ್ರೀಸ್‌ನ ಥೆಸಲೊಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ’ಲಿಟಲ್‌ ಮಿಸ್‌ ವರ್ಲ್ಡ್‌ –2017’ ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಪೂರ್ವಿ ಜಿ.ಬಿ. ‘ಬೆಸ್ಟ್‌ ಟ್ಯಾಲೆಂಟ್‌ ಪರ್‌ಫಾರ್ಮನ್ಸ್‌’ಆಗಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.

ಏಳು ದಿನ ನಡೆದ ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 30 ದೇಶಗಳ 65ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅಂತಿಮ ಸುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಆದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತದ ಐದು ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಇದ್ದರು. ಆ ಪೈಕಿ 12 ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ವಿ ಈ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸೋಫಿಯಾ ಪ್ರೌಢ ಶಾಲೆಯ 7ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಓದುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈಕೆ ಕೊಪ್ಪಳದ ಯಲಬುರ್ಗಾ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಕುಕನೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದವಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.

ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳ 10ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ತೀರ್ಪುಗಾರರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ, ಬುದ್ಧಿಮತ್ತೆ, ವಾಕ್‌ ಚಾತುರ್ಯ, ಸೌಂದರ್ಯದ ಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣನೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅಂತಿಮ ವಿಜೇತರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಉಕ್ರೇನ್‌ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಉತ್ಸವದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕಿ ನತಾಲಿಯಾ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ದೀವಾ ಫ್ಯಾಷನ್‌ ಗ್ರುಪ್‌ ಈ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಕಳೆದ 17 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು,ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ನಾನಾ ಭಾಗದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗೆ ವಿದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳುವ ಮುನ್ನ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಚೆನ್ನೈನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದ ಆಡಿಷನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ 10 ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಚೆನ್ನೈ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪೂರ್ವಿ ಗ್ರೀಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗೆ ಅರ್ಹತೆ ಗಿಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದಳು. ಅಂತಿಮ ಸುತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ವಿ ಹೊಯ್ಸಳ ಶಿಲ್ಪಕಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿದ್ದ ಬೇಲೂರು ಶಿಲಾ ಬಾಲಿಕೆಯ ವೇಷ ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಳು.

ಈ ಮೂಲ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯ ರಚನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶೈಲಿ ಲೇಖಕನ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆಯ ಆಳ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಪುಗಾರರ ತಂಡದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಲೋಲಾ ಯಂಗ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 
ಈ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ನನಗೆ ಸಂದ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ಗೌರವವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು 58 ವರ್ಷದ ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಸೌಂಡರ್ಸ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

The Awards ceremony for 73rd Golden Globe Awards was organized at Beverly Hills, California, United States (US). The Golden Globe Award is an American award  bestowed by the 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) as a recognizition of excellence in film and television, both domestic and foreign. In the 73rd edition of  Annual Golden Globe Awards, The Revenant won the maximum 3 awards followed by The Martian and Steve Jobs winning 2 awards each.

Raghuram Rajan Conferred Central Banker of the Year Award

RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan has been conferred with the Central Banker of the Year Award (Global and Asia Pacific) for year 2016. The award was conferred upon him by the The Banker, a monthly publication of Financial Times Group. This award recognises the officials and bankers who have best managed to stimulate growth and stabilise their country’s economy.

About Raghuram Rajan  :
  • Raghuram Rajan who is the 23rd Governor of RBI had taken charge in September 2013.
  • Prior to becoming RBI Governor, he was chief economic adviser (CEA) to Union Ministry of Finance in 2013. 
  • Raghuram Rajan was chief economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from 2003 to 2007. 
  • He was also professor of finance at the graduate business school at the University of Chicago.
Some other awards conferred upon Raghuram Rajan :
  • Governor of the Year: In January, 2015  British magazine Central Banking, named Rajan as the ‘Governor of the Year'.
  • Best Central Bank Governor award: In October, 2014, Rajan was conferred with the Best Central Bank Governor award for 2014 by Euromoney magazine. 
  • Deutsche Bank Prize: In September, 2013, Rajan was awarded awarded the Fifth Deutsche Bank Prize for Financial Economics 2013.  He was conferred with the award in recognition of his research work which influenced financial and macro-economic policies around the world.
  • Fischer Black Prize: Raghuram Rajan won the Fischer Black Prize in 2003. The prize, established in 2002, honours individual financial research. It is awarded for a body of work that exemplifies developing original research that is relevant to finance practice.
Book Authored : Rajan’s book How Hidden Cracks Still Threaten the World Economy won the Financial Times Business Book of the Year award in 2010.

Pranav Dhanawade, hits world record 1009 runs

Pranav Dhanawade, a 15-year-old cricketer from Mumbai, created a world record by scoring 1009 runs (not out) in HT Bhandari Cup, an under-16 inter-school tournament held in Mumbai (Maharashtra). With this broke the previous highest record of individual score 628 not out set by  the 13-year-old AEJ Collins in a house match at Clifton College in June 1899.

Facts to know :-
  • Pranav Dhanawade made this world record during HT Bhandari Cup organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) mainly for suburban schools. 
  • He was representing KC Gandhi High School against Arya Gurukul and played for 395 minutes. He smashed 59 sixes and 127 fours in 395 minutes before his KC Gandhi School declared the innings at 1,465 against Arya Gurukul School
  • His 1009 score also helped his school to score 1465/3 in the innings which broke the past record of 1107 runs of Victoria against New South Wales made in 1926.
Pranav Dhanawade's father is an auto-rickshaw driver, who had pushed him to play and was partly responsible for his success.
