Important enzymes in human body

What are Enzymes ? 

Enzymes are proteins that control the speed of chemical reactions in our body. Without enzymes, these reactions would take place too slowly to keep us alive. Some enzymes, like the ones in our gut, break down large molecules into smaller ones. Others, like the enzymes that make DNA, use small molecules to build up large complex ones. Enzymes also help cells to communicate with each other, keeping cell growth, life and death under control.

    some of the important functions of the enzymes are as follows :-

     Enzymes helps in digestion:-
  1. Enzymes are the workhorses of the body. When you eat, enzymes break down the food into tiny particles which can be converted into energy in the body. Enzymes in the digestive system belong to an enzyme class called hydrolase. 
  2. Hydrolases triggers a reaction called hydrolysis, which breaks large molecules down into smaller units. An  hydrolase, called protease, triggers reactions that break the proteins in to it's  constituent parts, which are called amino acids. 
  3. Another type of hydrolase, called lipase, is secreted by pancreas gland  it breaks down the fats of the diet. A third type of hydrolase, called amylase, triggers the breakdown of certain carbohydrate starches in the diet

  4. Enzymes helps in DNA Copying 
  5. The DNA in our cell  is contained in strands of material called chromosomes.The specific areas of each chromosome contains our individual genes.
  6. These genes together hold the information that determines our inherited characteristics.When cells in our body divide, each newly created cell must contain copies of our DNA.
  7. To carry out this copying, our body is dependent on a enzyme that include helicase,which unwinds the  DNA strands from it's normal helix shape  and DNA polymerase which in turn activates the copying process.

  8. Transformation of Glucose in to energy 
  9. To get energy from glucose our body carries out a chemical reaction that is a predetermined order of  ten enzyme-catalyzed reactions called Glycolysis.
  10. Glycolysis eventually leads to the creation of an essential fuel called adenosine triphosphate, or ATP, which powers most of our cells. For each step of glycolysis our body is relied on different enzymes

Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY)

  1. Union Government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY) which will enable states to utilize the District Mineral Funds (DMF) for the welfare of people and areas affected by mining operations.
  2. Minister of Mines and Steel Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said, PMKKKY is a revolutionary and unprecedented scheme of its kind, which will transform the lives of people living in areas which are affected directly or indirectly by mining. 

  3. The objective of  Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY) will be :- 
  4. To implement various developmental and welfare projects/programs in mining affected areas that complement the existing ongoing schemes/projects of State and Central Government
  5. To minimize/mitigate the adverse impacts, during and after mining, on the environment, health and socio-economics of people in mining districts
  6. To ensure long-term sustainable livelihoods for the affected people in mining areas.
  7. In Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY) care has been taken to include all aspects of living, to ensure substantial improvement in the quality of life. High priority areas like drinking water supply, health care, sanitation, education, skill development, women and child care, welfare of aged and disabled people, skill development and environment conservation will get at least 60 % share of the funds
    For creating a supportive and conducive living environment, balance funds will be spent on making roads, bridges, railways, waterways projects, irrigation and alternative energy sources.
    This way, government is facilitating mainstreaming of the people from lower strata of society, tribals and forest-dwellers who have no wherewithal and are affected the most from mining activities. 

    About District Mineral Foundations (DMFs) :-
  8. In March, Mines and Mineral (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2015 (MMDR Act) was passed, paving the way for auction of major mineral-bearing mines. It also stipulates creation of a DMF for the interest and benefit of the persons and areas affected by mining-related operations.
  9. In case of mining leases executed before January 12, 2015 (the date of coming into force of the MMDR Act) miners will have to contribute an amount equal to 30 per cent of the royalty payable by them to the DMFs and for the mining leases that are granted after January 12 this year, the rate of contribution would be 10 per cent of royalty payable.
  10. DMFs will have to consult the gram panchayats in the district while taking major decisions and will have to provide periodic reports on the projects undertaken by them. 
  11. The Central Government has issued a directive to the State Governments, under Section 20A of the MMDR Act, 1957, laying down the guidelines for implementation of PMKKKY and directing the States to incorporate the same in the rules framed by them for the DMFs.




Hangzhou City of China chosen to host 2022 Asian Games:


  1. Hangzhou, capital city of Zhejiang Province in east China, was chosen by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) to host the 2022 Asian Games. The decision was made at  the 34th Congress of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) held in Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan.
  2. Hangzhou was the only candidate city for the 2022 Asian Games. Its successful bid means the regional games will be staged in China for the third time following Beijing in 1990 and southern Guangzhou in 2010.
  3. Hangzhou is best known for the West Lake, a placid and tourist attraction. It is also home base of Chinese Internet (ecommerce) giant Alibaba. South Korea's Incheon held the last Asian Games in 2014, while Indonesia's Jakarta will play host in 2018.
  4. It should be noted that Beijing was just selected to hold the 2022 Winter Olympics after hosting the Summer Games in 2008.



Geography Notes – Mountain Passes in Himalayas : India

Overall, the Himalayan mountain system is the world’s highest, and is home to the world’s highest peaks, the Eight-thousanders. There are 14 Himalayan peaks with elevation over 8,000 meters (26,000 ft). The rugged terrain makes few routes through the mountains possible. Many times a few questions are asked in every competitive exam of government job on this topic. They are discussed as below

1-Aghil Pass (Karakoram-Ladakh):
Situated to the north of K2 in the Karakoram at an elevation of about 5000 m above the sea level, it joins Ladakh with the Xinjiang (Sinkiang) Province of China.
It remains closed during the winter season from November to the first week of May.

2-Banihal Pass (Jawahar Tunnel):
Connects hill areas of Jammu to the Kashmir Valley Situated at an elevation of 2835 m in the Pir-Panjal Range, joins Jammu with Srinagar. The pass remains snow covered during the winter season. The Jawahar Tunnel (named after Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru), inaugurated in December 19.56, was constructed for round-the-year surface transport.

3-Bara Lacha (Himachal Pradesh with Leh-Ladakh):
Situated in the state of Jammu and Kashmir at an altitude of 4843 m. It is on the National Highway connecting Manali and Leh. Being a high mountain pass, it remains snow covered from November to mid-May.

4-Bomdi La (4331 m, Arunachal Pradesh):
Situated to the east of Bhutan in the Greater Himalayas in Arunachal Pradesh at an altitude of about 2600 m above sea level, it connects Arunachal Pradesh with Lhasa, the capital of Tibet It remains closed in the winter season owing to snowfall and adverse weather


5-Burzail Pass (Srinagar with Kishan-Ganga Valley):
Situated at an altitude of more than five thousand feet above sea level, this pass connects the Kashmir Valley with the Deosai Plains of Ladakh. Being snow covered during the winter season it remains closed for trade and transport.

6-Chang-La (Ladakh with Tibet):
Situated at an elevation of over 5270 m, it is a high mountain pass in the Greater Himalayas. The road after Chang-la is extremely steep, leading to the small town of tangtse. The pass has a temple dedicated to Chang-la Baba after whom the pass has been named. Being snow-covered, it remains closed during the winter season.

7-Debsa Pass:
Situated at an elevation of 5270 m above sea level, it is a high mountain pass in Greater Himalayas between the Kullu and Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh. This pass provides an easier and shorter alternative to the traditional Pin-Parbati Pass route between Kullu and Spiti.

8-Dihang Pass:
Situated in the state of Arunachal Pradesh at an elevation of about 4000 feet this pass connects Arunachal Pradesh with Mandalay (Myanmar).

9-Diphu Pass (Arunachal Pradesh with Mandalay in Myanmar):
Situated in the eastern part of Arunachal Pradesh, Diphu Pass provides an easy and shortest access to Mandalaya (Myanmar). It is a traditional pass between India and Myanmar which remains open throughout the year for transportation and trade.

10-Imis La:
Situated at an elevation of over 4500 m, this pass provides an easy access between Ladakh and Tibet (China). It has a difficult terrain, steep slopes, and remains closed during the winter season.

11-Khardung La:
Situated at an elevation of more than six thousand m above sea level, it is the highest motorable pass in the country. It joins I.eh with Siachin glacier. The road, however, remains closed during the winter season.

12-Khunjerab Pass (Karakoram):
Situated at an altitude of more than five thousand feet in the Karakoram Mountains, it is a traditional pass between Ladakh and the Sinkiang Province of China. It remains snow covered during the winter season from November to mid-May.

13-Kora La Pass:
on the Nepal-Tibet border at the upper end of Mustang. The Kali Gandaki Gorge (a graben), transects the main Himalaya and Transhimalayan ranges.
Kora La is the lowest pass through both ranges between K2 and Everest, but some 300 metres (980 ft) higher than Nathula and Jelepla passes further east between Sikkim and Tibet.

14-Jelep La (4538 m):
Situated at an elevation of 4538 m above sea level, this pass connects Sikkim with Lhasa.
It passes through the Chumbi Valley.

15-Lanak La:
Situated at an altitude of about five thousand metres in the Aksai-Chin (Ladakh), it connects Ladakh with Lhasa.
The Chinese have constructed a road to connect the Xinjiang (Sinkiang) Province of China with Tibet.

16-Likhapani (Arunachal Pradesh):
Situated at an altitude of more than four thousand metres above sea level, the Likhapani Pass joins Arunachal Pradesh with Myanmar.
For trade and transport, it remains open throughout the year.

17-Lipu Lekh (Uttarakhand):
Situated in the Pithoragarh District, it connects Uttarakhand with Tibet. The pilgrims for Mansarovar Lake travel through this pass. The pass is one of India’s important border post for trade with China. Landslides in the rainy season and avalanches in winter create great problems for movement and transportation.

18-Mana Pass:
Situated at an elevation of 5611 m above sea level in the Greater Himalayas, it connects Uttarakhand with Tibet. It remains snow covered for about six months during the winter season.

19-Mangsha Dhura Pass:
Situated at an elevation of more than five thousand metres in the district of Pithoragarh, the Mangsha Dhura Pass connects Uttarakhand with Tibet. The pilgrims for Mansarovar cross this pass. Landslides create great problems for tourists and pilgrims.

20-Muling La (Uttarakhand):
Situated north of Gangotri, this seasonal pass joins Uttarakhand with Tibet. It remains snow covered during the winter season.

21-Nathu La (Sikkim):
Nathu La is located on the Indo-China border. The pass, at 4310 m above sea level, forms part of an offshoot of the ancient Silk Road. Nathu-La is one of the three trading border posts between India and China. After the 1962 war it was reopened in 2006.

22-NiH Pass:
Situated at an altitude of 5068 m above sea level, the Niti Pass joins Uttarakhand with Tibet. It remains snow covered during the winter season between November and mid-May.

23-Pangsan Pass (Arunachal Pardesh):
Situated at an elevation of more than four thousand metres above sea level, this pass connects Arunachal Pradesh with Mandalaya (Myanmar).

24-Pensi La:
Situated in the Greater Himalayas at an elevation of more than 5000 m above sea level, this pass connects the Valley of Kashmir with Kargil (Ladakh). It remains snow covered from November to mid-May.

25-Pir-Panjal Pass:
The traditional pass from Jammu to Srinagar, this pass lies on the Mughal Road.
After partition of the Subcontinent, the pass was closed down.
It provides the shortest and easiest metalled road access from Jammu to the Valley of Kashmir.

26-Qara Tagh Pass:
Located in the Karakoram Mountains at an elevation of more than 6000 ft above sea level, this pass was an offshoot of the Great Silk Road. It remains snow covered during the winter season.

27-Rohtang Pass:
Located at an elevation of 3979 m above sea level, this pass connects the Kullu, the Lahul and Spin’ valleys of Himachal Pradesh.
It has excellent road access, constructed by the Border Road Organisation (BRO).
Traffic jams are common occurrences caused by the heavy movement of military vehicles, buses, taxis, trucks and goods carriers.

28-Rupin Pass:
The majestic high altitude pass is situated across the rupin river in Uttarakhand, starts from Dhaula in Uttarakhand and end at Sangla in Himachal Pradesh.
The un inhabited Rupin Pass located at an elevation of 4650 m (15,250 ft) in the great Himalayan ranges and consist of deep dark valleys,icy slopes and snow fields

29-Shencottah-Gap:
Located in Western Ghats, this pass connects the Madurai city of Tamil Nadu with Kottayam city of Kerala. Shencottah is a small town also near this pass in Tamil Nadu.

30-Shipki La:
Located at an altitude of more than 4300 m above sea level through the Satluj Gorge, the Shipki-La joins Himachal Pradesh with Tibet.
It is through this pass, the river Satluj enters India, from Tibet.
The pass (Indian National Highway 22) is India’s third border post for trade with China after Nathula in Sikkim and Lipulekh in Uttarakhand.
It remains snow covered during the winter season.

31-Thang La (Ladakh):
Located at an elevation of 5359 m above sea level, it is a mountain pass in Ladakh (J & K).
It is the second highest motorable mountain pass in India after Khardung La.

32-Traill’s Pass:
Located at an elevation of 5212 m above sea level in the Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts of Uttarakhand, it is situated at the end of the Pindari Glacier and links Pindari Valley to Milam Valley. Being steep and rugged, this pass is very difficult to cross.

33-Thorong La:
The high point of the Annapurna Circuit, it connects the Manang District to the Mustang District in Nepal.

34-Zoji La:
Located at an altitude of 3850 m above sea level, it joins Srinagar with Kargil and Leh.
Because of heavy snowfall, it remains closed from December to mid-May.
The Border Road Organisation (BRO) has been trying to keep the road open for most part of the year.
Beacon Force of Border Road Organisation (BRO) is responsible for clearing and maintenance of the road during the winter season.
Recently, the Srinagar-Zoji-La Road has been declared a National Highway (NH-1D) by the centre.

ಜ್ಞಾನ ದಾಸೋಹಿ ಗುರುವಿಗೆ ನಮನ

 
 
"ಗುರು" ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಜೀವನದ ಅವಿಭಾಜ್ಯ ಅಂಗ. ಜೀವಿಯ ಜೈವಿಕ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ಸುಗಮವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯಲು ಜೀವಕೋಶಗಳ ನಡುವೆ, ಅಂಗಾಂಗಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಹೊಂದಾಣಿಕೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಡೆಯಲು ಮೆದುಳಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಅಗತ್ಯ. ಗುರುವಿನ ವಿಶೇಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆದುಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಬಹುದು. ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ಮೆದುಳು ಗುರುವಿನಂತೆ. ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾದ ಮೆದುಳು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥನ ಪುಣ್ಯ. ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ಮೆದುಳು ಇಲ್ಲದವರ ಬದುಕು ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವ,  ವಿವಕ್ಷಿಸುವ, ತಿಳಿಯಲು ಆಗದಂತೆ ಅಂಧಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ವಾಸ್ತವವಾಗಿ ಇಂತಹ ಅಂಧಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಉಜ್ವಲವಾದ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸುವವನೇ ಗುರು. ಅದ್ವಯಾ ತಾರಕಾ ಉಪನಿಷತ್ತಿನ ೧೪, ೧೮, ಶ್ಲೋಕ ೫ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿರುವಂತೆ ಗುರುವಿನ ಅರ್ಥ "ಗುಕಾರೊಂಧಕಾರತ್ವಾತ್ ರುಕಾರೊ ತನ್ನಿವಾರಕಃ" 'ಗು' ಎಂದರೆ ಅಂಧಕಾರ, 'ರು' ಎಂದರೆ ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುವುದು . ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಅಂಧಕಾರವನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸಿ ಬೆಳಕಿನೆಡೆಗೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯುವವನೇ ಗುರು.
ಪುರಾತನ ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 'ಗುರು' ಎಂಬ ಪದದ ಬಳಕೆ ಯೆಥೇಚ್ಛವಾಗಿ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮ ಗುರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಗುರುವನ್ನು ಅತಿಮಾನುಷನಂತೆ ಆತನ ಹಿರಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಬಣ್ಣಿಸಿದ್ದೂ ಉಂಟು. "ಗುರು ಗೀತಾ"ದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿರುವಂತೆ 'ಗು' ಎಂದರೆ ಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ , 'ರು' ಎಂದರೆ ಆಕಾರ ರಹಿತವಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ . ಗುರುವನ್ನು ಯಾವ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿಯಾದರು, ಯಾರಲ್ಲಿಯಾದರೂ, ಯಾವಾಗಾಲಾದರು ಕಾಣಬಹುದು. ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪಿದಾಗ ದಿಕ್ಕು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರಾಕೃತಿಕ, ಅಥವಾ ಜೈವಿಕ ಅಂಶ ಗುರುವಾಗಬಲ್ಲದು. ಭೌತಿಕ ರೂಪವೇ ಇಲ್ಲದ 'ಗುರು'ಎನ್ನುವ ಅಂಶ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮ ಲೋಕದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ರತ್ನವೇ ಸರಿ. ಗುರುವನ್ನು ಕಾಣದವರು ಮಾನಸಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅಂಧರಿದ್ದಂತೆ. ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಾಥ ಎನ್ನುವ ಪದಕ್ಕೆ "ಒಬ್ಬ ಗುರುವನ್ನೂ ಹೊಂದಿಲ್ಲದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ "  ಎನ್ನುವ ಅರ್ಥ ಇದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ  "ಗುರು, ದೇವರು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಯಂ(ಆತ್ಮ)" ಈ ಮೂವರು ಪರಮ ಪೂಜ್ಯವಾದವರು ಎಂದು ಮೈತ್ರಯನಿಯ ಉಪನಿಷತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಂದು ಗುರು ಎನ್ನುವ ಪದ "ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ " ಎನ್ನುವ ಪದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮನಾಗಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಿದೆ.
"ಮಹಾಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ" ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅರ್ಜುನನಿಗೆ ಗೀತೋಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಿದ ಸಂವಾದ. ದಾಯಾದಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಧರ್ಮ ಇವೆರಡರ ನಡುವೆ ಯಾವುದು ಮುಖ್ಯ?. ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸಿ, ಪಾಲಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನೊಡನಿದ್ದ ಬಂಧುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಗೊಂದಲಕ್ಕೀಡಾದ ಅರ್ಜುನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಉತ್ತರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣನಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯನಾಗಿ ಮೊರೆಇಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. " ಭಗವದ್ಗೀತಾ ಬೋಧನೆ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದುದು. ಅಂದು ಮತ್ತು ಇಂದು ಜಾತಿ ಮತ ಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಉಕ್ಕಿ ಬರುವ ಭಕ್ತಿ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಗೌರವ ಗುರುವಿನೆಡೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ. ಗುರುವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಪಕ್ವತೆಗೆ ಹೊರಳಾಡಿ, ದೊರಕಿದರೂ ದೊರಕದಂತಾಗುವ ಗುರುವನ್ನು ತನ್ನದೇ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣುವ ಏಕಲವ್ಯನ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮನಕಲುಕುವಂಥದ್ದು. ಗುರು ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಜನಿಸಿದ , ಯುಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ್ದ ಅಭಿಮನ್ಯು ಚಕ್ರವ್ಯೂಹದಿಂದ ಹೊರಬರುವುದನ್ನು ಗುರು ತಿಳಿಸದೇ ಇದ್ದರಿಂದ ಶಕ್ತನಾದರು ರಣರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಿಯಾಗುವ ಈ ಪಾತ್ರ ಗುರುವಿನ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಸ್ವ ಗುರುವಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಗುರು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಿ ಸಾತ್ವಿಕ ಹೊಣೆ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ ವಿದುರ ಮಾದರಿಯ ಗುರು.
 ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಅನೇಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಗಳು ಗುರುವಿನ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿವೆ. ನೈಜವಾಗಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಗುರುವಾಗಿ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸುವವರು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡು ಬರುವುದು ಬಹಳ ವಿರಳವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರುಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಜೀವನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಮೇಲಿನ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಇಂದಿನ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಿಲ್ಲವಾದಂತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾದ ವಿಷಯವಲ್ಲವಾದಂತೆ ತಿಳಿದುಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇವರ ನಡುವೆಯು ಸರ್ವಪಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣನ್ರವರಂತಹ ಆದರ್ಶ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಕಾಣಸಿಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. 
 
೨೦೧೨ ಗಣತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ೨, ೧೩೭, ೦೦೦ ರಷ್ಟು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಮಹಾಪೂರವೇ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಇವರ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧನೆಗಿಂತಾ ಇತರೆ ಹೊರೆಗಳು ಅವರ ವೃತ್ತಿಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿವೆ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸಗಳ್ಳತನ ತೋರುವ ಅನೇಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ತೊಂದರೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ.ಸರ್ವಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಧಾನ ಮಾಡುವ ಸರ್ವಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕವೃತ್ತಿ . ಇದು ಸದುಪಯೋಗವಾಗಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕನಿಗೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕಾದ ಗೌರವಕೂಡ ಹೆಚ್ಚಬೇಕು.ನಾ ಮೇಲೊ ನೀ ಮೇಲೊ ಎಂದು ಬದುಕುವ ಇಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆ ಗುರು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೇಕಾದುದನ್ನುಸಾದಿಸಬಹುದ ಎಂದು ನಂಬಿದವರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಠ, ಛಲ, ಆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾಧನೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಆದರೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯಯುತವಾದ, ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯ, ತೃಪ್ತಿಕರವಾದ, ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ರೂಪಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಗುರುವಿನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ಕಾರ ಅಗತ್ಯ. ಸಮಾಜ ನೀರಿನಂತೆ , ಗುರು ನೀರನ್ನು ನೋಡುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾದರೆ ಅದರ ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬವೇ ಶಿಷ್ಯ.
